anti-theft code v. pin

anti-theft code v. pin

is the pin the same as the anti theft code for the navi system, if not do i get the anti theft code from the dealer?

by pin do you mean the code for the radio? it's actually 2 different codes so if you don't got the code for the navi you'll have to call up the dealer from where your car was first sold. hope that helps.

no for the navi, i was reading somewhere that there is an anti theft code for the navi along with the pin, just wondering

There are two PINs for the navi. They are used to lock down your personal addresses. They are not necessarily the same as the anti theft code, as you can set them to whatever you want. I just leave mine blank.

Yeah I just called the dealer my car was originally sold from, gave him the last 8 numbers of my VIN, and because I was driving at the time, he hung up and used his own cell phone to text message me the pins... what a great experience from Paragon Acura somewhere in New York!!!

No problem... also, the way I found out the original dealer was by signing up for Acura Owners Link or something like that, from the Acura website. It then told me what "My Dealer" was. the computers at my local acura dealer said a completely different dealership. Also, there may be a card in your manual. Check for that too.
