Another Tint question :)
Guys and Gals,
I will be getting my baby tinted on Thu. I have a question for you all....do you think tinting the whole car with the same % of tint look better or tinting it in diff %? ie...I was thinking about tinting my back darker than 35% and doing the side at 35%.

To each their own, as it's a matter of personal preference.....
But, since you asked - I chose to go with the uniform look and went with 35% all the way around, including the front windows. I think the uniform look makes it look classier than the varying percentages, as well as it keeps the focus on the car - not the windows!
Just my .02
P.S - My sig pic was taken before I got the tint done...

Well, I have 20% on the back and 35% on the sides, same as my CL was. I like doing this b/c it makes the sides look slightly darker (because the rear window is darker), but the tint on my side windows are not illegal!!

I would go with the uniform 35% all around, but at the same time I didnt want to get pulled over and waste potential time for such a minor offense like that, so I opted to go safe and went 55% in the front. A friend of mine got pulled over with 35% in the front, but then again he was driving around in a white car where the window tint might be a bit more noticeable. But...if I had to do it all over again, I'd go with 20% in teh back and 35% in the front and 50% on the windshield and moonroof.

I live in LA where the minimum for the front is 40%... I had 35% on my front and failed inspection and after spending about 45 minutes on each front window to remove the tint, I'll be going the legal route with 50% on the fron windows.
I still have to finish removing the adhesive from my front windows. (Around the edges)

Legal Tint
70% tint is legal on the front windows only if you have a doctors note...
Cali is very strick about tint
Back to the question at hand 35% all the way around looks good to me.IMHO Going darker on the back window isn't as noticeable as going different shades on the sides.

Personally I like the uniformed look so I went with 38% Centaur on the sides & rear...I have 50% on the entire front windshield b/c 38% would have been obvious and a guarenteed ticket. The 50% just makes the white registration slightly grey.

Hey people,
I have had my tint for a couple of months now and loving it. The only problem I have is with the dot matrix area on the back window. The tint guy tinted my back half way up the dot matrix so now I can see there is a line there. He stated the only way to get rid of the line is to have a black strip over that area. Any other solutions?
thx

I found an answer to my own question. Some states allow AS1 on the windshield. And there are states like Texas which only allow 5" of tint on the front windshield. Anyone wanting to know their state tint laws, click on the link below.

Like most said its your prefernce. I have a WDP and limo tint all around. It Looks very nice. Well to me atleast becasue its my car. I got pulled over for the tint and had to remove it. For the ONE day i had the tint remove, the car whole car and the feeling was just different. Limo tint give you the privacy in your car and not many eyes staring at you. I like that better than when people look at you all funny. Well if you are seeing people(guys, girl) , dont know your gender. It comes in handy to have tint on your car.
