Talking Another New Owner

Just had it delivered. A 02 TL-S, APB, with black leather, navi, and spoiler. Has 06 TL wheels and tires on it. (Already ordered CompTech Springs & Icebox.) All paperwork from 1st owner, service done at the Dealer, Non-Smoker. It has 39,762 miles with no tranny issues so far. Last 3 days have been a lot of fun. I'll put up some pics soon. I got the car for 16,500 from an Acura Dealer (Pre-Owned Certified) in Springfield, MO. Drove down from Kansas City to look at a 03 CL-S, bought this one instead.

I told the wife it was either a new car, or a girlfriend... She said, and I quote: "You chose... Wisely"

Nice ride! Really low mileage.

Should of went a different path than the Comptech springs. But, good job on the icebox!

Post pics soon.

My recommendation would be to first ditch those 06 TL wheels ASAP. That looks horrendous on 2nd gen TLs.

Otherwise, ABP is a great color and you got a great car. Enjoy.

Congrats.

Cant get any better than ABP. I'd get compliments on the color from everyone from little kids to elderly women. Still miss not having it.

Actually, With his comptech springs, it might look not bad.. I thought the reason why it looks so bad on our cars is that they have ridiculous fender gap..

I've seen 06 TL rims on dropped 2nd gen TL's. They look pretty good.
I was thinking of getting set of 3rd Gen A-Spec rims myself.

Why not both???

Congrats! I'm starting my third week with mine. Icebox is due tomorrow; I'm sure I'll be out after dark installing it when I get home from work.

LMAO

You can go with either, its what kind of drop you want. Tein is another brand thats good. Do some searching and you'll find tons of information. Take it easy!
Also post some pics! And looks like your into Soca/Raggae from the S/n you got.

To do a quote, choose who you want to quote, and the right hand side of the screen, look for a quote button and click that. Another way is, when you post a message, go advance ( if you dont already ), and underneath the color menu, you should see a lil icon that represents quoting.

Going to stick with the Comptechs... Just measured to 4X4 affect, and it rides 3.5" both front and rear, so @ 2" in front and 1.75" might be the ticket.... Not going with different wheels for awhile.

When I was washing my car, a bum came up and said, "What color is that, cobalt?" ... "No." ... "Can I have a dollar?"

Others asked if I did a custom paint job on the car.

And the best one was driving up to the dealership, the service managers came out, and were shocked to find out ABP was a factory color option.

Great color choice, great deal, great options, welcome to AZ!

Stock 02-03 TL-S rims look great.. personally, they're my favorite on the car.

Anything but those new TL rims.. do you not see the huge clash? Sharp, angular rims on a car with smooth, flowing lines? Plus the rims are too wide and end up looking funny. Ditch them - quick. Worst car/rim combo ever.

Well, looking through the forums and pictures even more, the wheels on in are 04 TL wheels. If I have them Chrome'd, they would look better... (LA Wheel). Anyone dealt with them?
Also I found some 03 TL-S whells on eBay, not up for 4 days, we will see.

Going to post in Black Market that I am looking for 03 TL-s wheels, see what happens... You can never have enough wheels...

Thank for all the input. Getting the tint tomorrow, and will take some pics.
Oh, anyone out there in the Kansas City Area?
