Post Are all you Park Ave Meet attendees getting your rides sparkling??

I just spent about 3 hours today:

Wash
Z6
Z2
Z6

Meguires on the wheels and exhaust

Re-grilled my Mugen grill with Foliatec aluminized mesh - it looks really nice now

Tomorrow it's more of the same. Should have another 2 or 3 coats of Zaino magic by Saturday.

Washed and gave her two coats of Finish First This weekend. Unfortunately starting tonight my baby sleeps outdoors as my entire driveway is getting redone and I cant get to my garage. It supposed to rain over the next few days, but hopefully it wont on Friday or Saturday, and I have time to get her all shiny again

I spent the better part of today doing a whole lot of wax-on wax-off wax-on wax-off. And man my arms are killing me now.

Wash
Z1
Z2 - 3 coats
Z12 for the glass.
Z14 for the plastic.
Mothers clear coat wheel polish.
Meguires for the tires.

Yeah but it's such a great feeling when you're done and you step back and check out that gleaming ride.

True.

I was thinking of putting a coat of Klasse High gloss sealant glaze over the Z2. Good idea or bad idea? Anyone.

I am devoting the entire day on Friday to wash and vacuum my TL. Then it is going to be covered up until the next morning for the meet.
BTW, I am going to use Zaino for the 1st time. So what do I need to buy???

Thanks NSXNEXT.
Your right It's probably better if I don't mix them.
I'm going a little overboard with all this.

Use the Z1 first, put that on and let dry, then without wiping it off put the Z2 over it and let dry, then buff it off after 30 minutes. and for a deeper shine do multiple coats of the Z2.
If I do multiple coats of Z2 for a deeper shine, do I need to apply Z1 again like the first step or just put Z2 on by itself and buff it off???
BTW, thanks.

You did say you're using Zaino for the FIRST TIME. If so...

You'll probably only get to put one coat of Z2 on after you do the Z1. You're supposed to let Z2 cure for 24 hours.

Do Z1 early in the morning. Wait till it dries to a haze, then Z2. When you get to Park Ave, spray on the Z6.

Good tip, when you are going to put on the Z2, periodically spray the pad with Z6 then add the Z2. It makes it flow better and you use a lot less Z2.

I have another question. I did not know that I have to order Zaino from the internet. No wonder because I went to Pep Boys and R&S Strauss to day and they looked at me like I was from another planet when I asked for Zaino.
Since Park Ave Acura meet is coming up, can I get something else to clean with. I heard of Mother's and Meguiars. Which one is better and what do I need to buy???

If you are going with a regualr wax for now, try Meguiars Gold Class, it does a really nice job.

You might want to call Sal Zaino. I buy my Zaino from an auto parts store in Howell NJ. It's right down the street from Sal's place. There may be other stores that he stocks.

See you all Saturday.
