Add some limes and a bottle of Tequilla and you're set.

That does look harsh. I've never had to deal with stuff like that so I guess that I should consider myself lucky.

With the weather we have had lately, there is no point in even washing your car. BTW, the post from Hawaii, bug off.

This,
After a 10hr..... 450mi trip through 3hrs of freezing rain/snow, sometimes whiteout conditions. It's a good thing the family was sleaping during the nasty part so they couldn't see me sh!tting myself trying to stay out of the ditches:wow:

I wish I could, but my hose is frozen solid, and I refuse to take it to a car wash. (I did that with my TL and destroyed the paint).

The woes of a black car...

I've got to find one of thos 'do-it'yourself' spray washes.

Hmm, just washed my car right now. I thought it was alright since the temp. was around 28-35 here. I just used a bucket of warm water and a hose to wash the salt off. I always start from the front and work my way around. By the time I got to the spoiler that bastard was frozen!!! I guess it froze from the windchill. I gave it a few rinses to get the ice off with the warm water. Then I went to the front with a towel to dry the car.....by the time I got to the spoiler the bastard froze again!!! So I just rolled into the garage and figure it will melt eventually (since I already dumped the warm water out from the bucket)

Funny... I went to a do it yourself place in Dover today, and by the time I started spraying the rear, mine was frozen too (as well as my hands).

I guess it'll just have to wait until it gets warm..

It is too cold to wash it now. Just wait til the spring like I am.

BTW, the same thing happened to me last winter. I washed my car and part of it was freezing up. And last winter was nowhere near as bad as this winter. So that is why I am waiting til it gets warmer.

This is similar to what I used when I was real anal about my car and absolutely had to wash it in 30-40 degree weather (provided there was no wind)

http://www.fire-science.com/ph-model9.html

Now my only worry is to avoid washing the car in direct sunlight. (HeeHee)

I live in the midwest area. Water freezes within 1 minute (maybe less time) after being poured onto the ground.. it is THAT COLD! Washing a car in subzero temp isn't a smart idea either. I've had water trapped between the doors and the door frame that I had trouble breaking it open because ice formed in between. Not to mention having to open my door to throw toll money because my window is frozen shut. How about the lovely frozen shut windsheild spray nozzle when you need it?

Why not hook the hose to a faucet in the garage, then you could still pump out cold water or even warm it a tiny bit. I would be real careful with the amount of warm water you use, don't want to shatter a window or something. That or take the hose inside to a sink to let it thaugh out.

I took my car in for service yesterday to get an oil change & get new rear brake pads. I forgot to tell them not to wash it & they did. My black TL has not been washed good since the end of September. I have let the rain wash it all I do is go out side & throw some carwash on the car. When it rains hard I just let it wash the soap off. I do spot clean like bird crap off the car & clean the windows. It was 15 degrees here yesterday mourning so I thought the dealership might not wash it. My car wah not that dirty because after the last time I had the rain wash it with ZAINO wash I sprayed it with Z7 ultra clean spray.

Thank GOD they don`t salt the road in FL. BUT they do have LOVE BUGS, Drive three hours, when the love bugs are swarming! It`s really bad if you have rainX, Then they smear the full leanth of the window with their entrails.
