Are all Honda oil filters the same?
My friend has Civic oil filters and I was wondering if I could use that on my car. It's the blue one (don't know if that makes a difference) Is it the same as the Accord V6? I am asking becuase I want to do my own oil change after class today and I don't know which one to use. Should I just go to pep boys and buy a generic one?
Thanks

Look under your hood, or in your manual.
It should tell you which oil filter you need.
Both Honda and Acura use Honda branded filters
I do not think a Civic filter is compatible with your car.
If you are going generic, read posts below

K&N also has an oil filter out now.
Item number is HP-1004 (for TL or TL-S)

I do know that Acura does use the same filter for the whole line though with maybe an exception for the NSX. I was able to use the Mobile 1 filters I bought for my '98 2.3 CL on my TL, saved me a few bucks.

15400-P0H-305 is what you need
the 2003 civics changed to a different filter...
15400-PLM-A01 H=85 W=69
15400-P0A-305 H=80 W=84
I believe they're interchangable, because my software is stating i could use either for the 03 civic...
When you pull yours off always make sure the gasket comes off with the old one -- andd match it up to the new one....
