Air Conditioning

Whats ups everyone I'm new to the board and just purchased a new 03 TL-S. I love the car but when i have the air conditioing on sometimes i feel the car kind of jerk foward a little bit, usually when stopped at a light. Since the car has climate control I figured that the A/C isn't on all the time so this is probably the cars way of turning it back on. But it doesn't feel safe and I was just wondering if anyone elses car does this. Is this something to worry about?

Please let me know, thanks!

Mine does this as well.. it's probably normal, i remember a friend's TLS do the same thing.

The engine probably adjusts to generate enough power for the A/C.

this has been explained numerous times on this site. It is simply the a/c compressor initiating, and therefore it will give the car a light jerk forward. You'll notice after gunning the car with the a/c on, after coming to a complete stop, the a/c compressor will start up again, since it was kicked off to give you more of a boost.

it's all normal...they all do it, for some reason though, he TL-S is the only car where I've noticed this happen...

oh well.
