aiming headlights
i'm dropped on tein basics and i know my headlights are "lowered" b/c it doesn't project very far.. i was aiming the headlights last night and just couldn't get it the way i want it.. took like 5 tries and just gave up.. wasn't satisfied w/ the results.
is there a way (procedure) to aim the headlights? i'm not asking "how" to aim, but the specifications of it. is there a way to do it/ i tried the wall method and back up 20 ft or so and just tried to keep the headlights at hood level, but when i drove off, it just doesn't seem right.. anybody have any ideas?

Are you sure its not cuz you're sititng lower so the headlights are lower and not projecting as far? You could always point them slightly higher than the specs. Just make sure the cutoff light isn't higher than spec.

I believe the spec for the aim on our headlights is 5cm below center. There is a circle in the plastic on the front of the headlight. Measure the distance from the ground to the circle. Then on the wall, put a mark 5cm below that measured distance, with the car 20 feet from the wall, that is where the top of the headlight cutoff should hit.
With your car being lowered you might be able to get away with 4cm lower but if the cutoff is any higher than that you will blind on coming cars.
