Ahh...good to be back...and not so good with the car
Howdy guys...have't been on here forever. My old ID use to be thaitea...somehow I couldn't use it so I made a new one.
Anyway...my problem with my car leads me to come here and search for solution. And boy did I find it...my problem seems to be the same one as you guys are having. I coudln't wait to log on and tell you about my problem.
About 2 months ago my car did some kind of hickup while I was driving. It felt real weird and I was kind of worry but since it only did it once I didn't think much of it. Then about a month ago it did a knee jerk and I was really worried. And a few days later it was toasted. My car would not change gear, it just revs up the engine, then it would jerk forward like somone hit me from behind. The engine light came on and I was really worried driving like that on the freeway. I thought I had put the wrong gas or something that made it do that so I had to make sure that it wasn't something I did to the car before I took it to the dealer.
Well it turns out that one of my friend with an acura tl was having the same problem and she took it to the dealer. She said it was a known problem and that they would replace the transmission and extend to 7 years warranty. I was releive that it wasn't something I did wrong. Anyway, my dealer came to pick up the car for free (I thought I only had 2 years roadside assistant but they say it was still valid...so I aint gonna argue) and my car is in the shop right now and the transmission is being replaced. They offer a loaner car too but I had my sister's car so I said never mind. It's gonna take about a week that's what the service guy says...so hopefully it's almost done.
I had my gas cover bent by some jerk also. I don't know what they were trying to do..steal gas or what but it mess it up. I ask the the service guy how much to get replaced he said around 50 bucks...I couldnt believe it because I asked around everywhere else and they want 160 to 200 for part, paint and labor. So I had that fixed also.
I miss my baby so bad, my sister's car is so damn loud...but I aprreciate she letting me borrow it. Anyway....Just thought I come on here and let out some air.
