Aftermarket nav systems...
...I know, I know, I'm a dumbass for not getting the factory option. If anyone is wondering whether or not to do it, stop wondering. Get the factory nav system...it is among the best in the business.
Anyway, I'd like to install the Magellan 750NAV (aka: Hertz Never Lost) on my 2002 TL-S. Has anyone else done this? Was it easy to install? Any pics? Thanks.

I think most ppl go with Alpine, Pioneer or Kenwood Navigation with a flip out monitor. I've heard of that Hertz Never Lost thing, but never heard if its any good much less seen it in an install.

Thanks Beason.
I've used the Magellan 750NAV and it is a very good GPS. The installation isn't as "clean" as the Alpine/Pioneer/Kenwood flip-out units. But like I said, it's easy to use and works very well. I'm a function over form kind of guy.
Thanks for the reply; please keep 'em coming!

"haha that thing looks awsome wonder if it really works...."
Used it in Detroit and it works great. Once you figure out the programming it's like having a nanny in the car. It even scolded me for leaving the proper route when I turned into a gas station for gas and ciggs. If you like being henpecked it's great.
When it was time to return to the airport I just reversed the route and it was all there. Like I said, once programed it got me to my destination and back to Hertz without any problems at all.

I've heard the Magellan and Garmin handheld GPS are better than the Acuras Nav (which is one of the best). Plus, some cost under $300, and you can pick it up and take it with you as you walk around town. Pretty darn handy. I'm looking into which one to buy. There should be lots of mounts so you can put it in your car (like a cell phone).

You can get a iPaq personal pc and get a Navigation software installed and it will work the same. You buy the iPaq and then you buy the kit and you could do this for less than $500 depending on how much you want to spend on the iPaq the kit I think is about $100. Not sure. That is what I'm going to do.
