hey guys did anyone here switch thier gas tanks? is there a difference between aftermarket and oem and does the accord ones fit?

aftermarket made for the specific year/model will bolt right in
call a junkyard/auto recycler for swap info to other models but dont count on it
each car has unique folds and bends in the rear panel they fit the tank into

look on www.jcwhitney.com they have everything- good referance point for prices etc

ok so i found i used one for 90 used oem acura, i called a aftermarket parts shop they told me 160, my mechanic told me 280 for a good aftermarket gas tank and oem acura parts has it for 320. does anyone know hows the quailty of aftermarket gas tanks i dont want to spend 280 and it breaks after couple of months or should i just buy the oem?

is the gas tank lifetime warrenty? does anyone know?

never heard of anything on the TL having lifetime warranty!
what happened exactly? what year is your car?

never take anyones word on prices, as they are looking for profit on the deal

a used tank is ok IF you take it to a radiator shop for full cleaning and sealing stuff sprayed inside
You dont know its condition, and may be same prob as yours
the clean and coat is worth the money
motorcycle tanks have this done all the time, not a new service

acura care canada 1-888-9acura9 will know about any recall or extended warranty on the fuel tank itself
give them a call

also call radiator shops for the clean and coat price
