After 35 days waiting...
For a new transmission I am back on the road. Car rides fine so far. The service rep did explain to me that:
1.) Acura is aware of the transmission problems
2.) Apparently replacement transmission are brand new units with upgraded parts on suspect failed parts
3.) There is no stock or new transmission in the US that's why they have to wait so long for them to come from Japan. The transmission have to built and then released accordingly along with regular production transmission so out of a batch of 500 coming off the line yours maybe 498. Hypothetically speaking of course.
4.) Anyone with a Type S transmission replaced within a week may want to verify that the transmission came from the factory and not some back room parts bin at the dealer.
My dealer was great (TischerAcura) and I so far have no compliants. Again Acura is aware of the situation.
P.S. Total cost covered under warranty? $5,011.99
Damn!

Thanks for the Info... Tisher Acura? In Laurel, MD?
So they did a good job and wasn't a bunch of A$$es? I may have to go there too... My question is if Acura suspects failing parts shouldn't they do a recall?
I know it would be costly for Acura... but I'm thinkin that would be good customer service.. sometimes i catch my trans doing strange things too and i'm not sure if its my imagination from reading this board or that theres something really wrong... i guess we'll have to see about that
