AEM V2 vs AEM CAI
Hi, I am looking at getting a CAI and I was wondering what people would suggest. Money isn't an issue for this, and I'm wondering what you guys think would be best. I'm looking for one that gives me some extra HP and a nice full sound. Thanks in advance!

No one has answered your post probably because this topic has been discussed many times. Try searching next time but currently there is no AEM V2 for the Type-S but are available for the TL-P's. Horsepower wise, the AEM V2 supposedly has more gains. If you're going for sound, you're better off with a AEM Short-ram intake. Happy modding

Hi, I did do a search, but I found pretty much nothing on the V2. I have a 1999 TL-P so it should fit I think. I don't really think I'm leaning toward the Short Ram simply because I don't understand why it is so different. Any extra help would be great.

The V2 would fit your 99TL... Get it. The only difference between the AEM and the AEM v2 is that the V2 has bigger piping. The AEM is 2.75 and the AEM v2 is 5. So tha tis almost double the size..

i would go with the V2 also, especially if i were looking for SOUND. if you want it to be closer to the stock sound)slightly louder) go with the comptech

as far as power is concerned, theyre about the same right? also when i searched on eBay, i found some XoXo Product Cold Air Intakes, are those jus gimmicks?
