AEM CAI Rubbing?
For those of you that have the early models of the CAI. As you probably know the later models come with a mounting bracket on the lower tube section to keep it from banging where it goes through the fender. Tim and I both had holes worn through the tube and had to remove the lower sections. I called AEM and they had me return the lower section and replaced it with the new version as a warranty problem.
If any of you have this problem give AEM a call, I talked to Steve in the returns department. 310-484-2322 x206.
I sent the bad tube in about 10 days ago and received the replacement today.

Do you have a picture of what the AEM should look like when its installed, cuz i installed mine about 2 weeks ago and it rubs on the side of the firewall, and i cant get that rubber bushing in. It wont screw in.

you have to take off that yellow plastic thing that holds down the wires. just cut it off cause its taking up the hole the bolt goes into. i'd take a pic, but my camera has no batteries. hopefully someone else can, or maybe i can if i find the charger . . .

You need two nuts for that bushing. (Punny)
They only give you one so you'll need to find another one and tighten down the bushing to the car from the bottom and then the CAI to the bushing from the top.
