My hiss from my AEM CAI is getting rediculous. I love the roar and the extra power but whenever my car is on at idle i hear a hiss and forget about when my A/C is on it just gets out of hand. Is there any way to muffle the hissing noise aside from taking out the AEM CAI??

Come on man, I can't believe you don't like that noise. I love it!!!!!!!! Sorry, can't think of a remedy other than losing a few ponies and taking it off.

yeah im starting to get tired of mine too. i actually tried to convert mine into a short ram, in hopes of that quieting it at idle. bad idea. just made it 100x worse.

its a trade off, you get amazing sound at wot, but at idle you sound like your car needs a tune-up

Nothing can be worse than the OBX resonansce problem. It is slowly driving me crazy!!!

Mine only hisses when it's cold. After about a mile of driving, you can't hear it at idle.

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I love that sound! Aside from the power gain, the hissing sound was the other reason I did the upgrade!

I like the hiss too cuz it sounds like u have something in the engine. Whenever i turn the engine on or off people look and then ask what im running.

ya, mine is really loud at cold start but after it warms up its ok.
