See if you can find someone with used Comptechs..

or if you want, get the H&R OE(1.0 even)
or H&R Sport (1.75)

I believe each one of these are only around $170 for a set

or you could try neuspeed which is supposed to be 1.75, but since our TLs are heavier, it might be more than that..

Say Edub I thought the HR OE springs are .75 front and .75 rear, you wrote 1.0, am I misunderstanding something. I was also thinking about lowering my Type S but didn't want just .75 was looking for an inch drop front and rear?

Go with comptech...try to find them used. Because they're really expensive new. If not than go with H & R springs. I have the H & R sport springs...they look kinda low to me at first...but once you put rims on the car it raised the car up a little and turned out to be better than I had expected....the perfect drop...not too low and look just right!

Go with H&R Sports....good springs...with a 1.75 drop...that cost $165.

Thumbs up HnR sports vs Hnr OEs

$170 and install @ Import Powerhouse for $120. Great drop! The Hn R OEs are not even enough noticeable drop. The OEs(.75) would be like kissing your sister compared to the Hn R Sport drop. Just doesn't quite get it! (1.75 front 1.50 rear) Big differance! Best bang for the buck...........

That would be true if the OE's actually lowered .75". But they don't. They lower more like 1.25"...because that spec is for the lighter Accord. For our TL's it's more.

I believe you are right about the amount of drop. When I exchanged the OEs for the Sports I noticed the most amount of change in the front. The rear seemed ok with the OEs, But the front was still too high. Now the drop seems more even. I believe the front is about .5 lower than the rear. It appears as though the distance between all tires and wheel wells are the same, but the car has a slight bit of a raked look.(Back higher than front) Which I prefer anyway.

So wait let me see if I get this. If I put the OE Springs the front would lower about 1.25 and the rear .75? Is this correct? How's the ride quality with stock wheels?

Thumbs up HnR Sports vs HnR OEs

I will say it again. If you don't want it to look lowered then put on the OEs. I was so dissapointed with the amount of drop with the OEs that I spent another $120 to install the sports! Now I can tell a differance from stock. With the OES you will have to tell people you have lowered your car. Cause they certainly won't see it! Good luck

Like I said before, OE's are about .75 all around...

oh, BTW, Austin519, I wanted to thank your for your informative site, a little on the slow side, but worth a visit (or two or three).

Woohoo my 1210'th post....12/10 is my b'day gentlemen...

You mean my car website? Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I know it's really slow...that's what I hate about cardomain...but well they do offer unlimited space...and all those pictures are 1 meg apiece...

But about the OE's...they are NOT .75 all around. That figure you keep quoting was measured for the Accord. Those that have the springs on their TL's and TLS's (a much heavier car) usually report 1.25" or so....NOT .75. H&R badly needs to remeasure or redesign those and post the results.

Well, if u say so, but those that have them mention that the OE's just barely drop the car which to me would say that .75 of an inch is fairly accurate since that is hardly noticeble. And Tim has them spec'd out as well as a .75 drop here.

No problems at all, with my H&R Sports. Got them in early November (had the wheels rotated then). Just had the wheels rotated a couple weeks ago and no uneven wear at all on the POS stock tires. Highly recomended.

And those that say that want 2" drops or so. Others say their OE's drop more than the .75. Feel free to call H&R about this if you like...but I know this for a fact. They'll tell you the same. And Tim got his numbers from H&R, who got theirs from the Accord.
