Acura-TL Shirts

I got in the T shirts last week.
I had Mr Hyde take pictures of his Type S, which where done in 2.1 pixels, and this is how they came out with screen printing
I was told, even if it was taken with higher rez, that there is only so much they can do with screen printing a picture.
Maybe someone can confirm this or not.

Here is a Close Up Shot of the back

First thing that stands out, is the wheels, don't really like how they came out. I was thinking of photoshopping the wheels on there, and sending the photo back, but I don't know, how it will look, and then it will be delayed even longer

Tell me what you guys think of the shirts. And will go from there

Looking good, but your right the picture is a little fuzzy. I wonder how they are done on other t-shirts...i'll ask around. How long does it usually take whenever you make a change?

The photo is flopped - the gas cap is on the wrong side of the car.

Sorry to be the one to point this out

The wheels are blurry because the car was in motion

Good observation..
another point is that the letter T is too close to the Letter L. Move the letter L over so that it is equidistance between T and the dot .

I personally think the "TL.COM" is perfect. The T and L should be close together since the word ACURA is close. It would look funny if the TL are spaced and ACURA isn't, huh?

I think he's referring to the the T and the L touching, where as none of the letters in ACURA actually touch. It's called kerning. Just need to move the two letters slightly apart from each other

Tim, it looks pretty good, except it's a bit fuzzy...is there anything on the front? Maybe you want to make the picture a bit smaller? so it won't have to be so detailed, I guess....I can also ask the guy that's doing our project about this too...about pricing and stuff...I'm gonna call him right now to so I give u an update on wether the sample went out already to u or not.

I hear there is a direct printing, that would be clear and cost much more....

This sample shirt doesn't have anything on the front...
We could leave it that way, or use the same front we have on the polo's

I think its okay TIm I can't see the gas cap some have better eyes than mine. I forget what we said about the T- Shirts design. If I can remember we took a poll about it.
The logo like on the Polo is fine for me.

I think we can do better with the car picture. The screen printing process has quantized the colors somewhat, making it more difficult to resolve details.

The wheels look kinda wrong... was this pic taken when the car was in motion?

a pic of the front end of the car... or.... just a bigger "A" would be better i think, rather then a picture thats kinda blurry...

a big "A" and ACURA TL.COM on the bottom would be my suggestion...

Snook,

I work for an advertising agency - so once in a while we have to produce t-shirts. I have samples of both direct print and silk-screen and the difference is night and day. I don't know what your paying now or what your profit margins needs to be, but the direct print option is not that much more expensive in low quantities.

If you want, you can contact me and i'll send you the samples of what i have. Or e-mail me the digital files for the design and i'll see if i can have a prototype made. (no charge of course.)

Let me know if i can help.
