 I like them too... Did you just use flat black sray paint? or semi gloss? I think it would also look good with the clear diffuser. As soon as I get the "huevos" to take my lights apart I will probably be the 1st to paint them black with a clear diffuser... we shall see...

Not ugly, but not really felling them either. Probably look sick at night though.

HEY GUYS HERE IS THE DIY:

********I bought two headlights off of Ebay*********
btw Shiffy I want to keep my stock headlights in case i ever need them. I did not have the "huevos" to screw with my stocks. SO hey everyone consider getting headlights from a salvage yard....recycle

Parts:
2 headlights duh!!
I used the DUPLICOLOR high heat paint
several flathead screwdrives(to pry the headlight open)
philips head screw drive
Angel eye kit (if you want to go that far)
I bought my angel eye kit off of ebay, all i got were the 4 rings, 8 LEDS and the wiring came with it.

Instructions:
Check the DIY on installing an Intake because it tells you how to remove the front bumper. i work at Acura here in Tallahassee so my manager printed me the pictured instuctions.

Headlight:
Remove all of the bulbs and the HID, yadda yadda
take any plastic parts of the back (there are two caps, one is clear and covers the screw that adjusts the headlight and a black cap that is under the high beam bulb.
Remove the a metal clip on the side of the light, you will see it when you have the light off the car.
Once you are sure you have taken all that you want to take off your light, now you can put it in the oven.
I put my oven on 200 degrees and I left it in there for 8 minutes. I preheated my oven for a minute before I put the light in.
Once out of the oven pick a point and with the flat head screw drivers. pry the light open. I chose the side by the turn signals and it opened very easily.
Once that was completed, you will see two screws holding the cosmetic chrome piece to the clear plastic of the headlight. Remove them.
Take that piece out by grabbing from the corner by the high beam.
I did not use primer.
I painted the chrome piece until I was satisfied with its look. If you dont know how to paint properly find out from someone who knows. I used even coats but there may be techniques better than mine, cause I made little mistakes.

IF ADDING ANGEL EYES:
Figure out a way to secure the angel eye to the light. I used two small hooks that I drilled into the piece I painted on the bottom. so my angel eye is held in by a little pressure.
Drill a hole on the back part of the headlight piece to run the wires. Judge where you think the hold should be everyone is different. My motto is leave as little wire inside the headlight when possible because it gets really hot in there. I figure the more wire in the colder air is better for the small amount inside the headlight.

Once you have the wiring set up run a line of silicon inside the groove on the back black peice, I put a decent amount in there. more that a 1/8" inch line. press the light together and reheat it in the oven for 8 minutes. pretty much reverse the earlier step. Then I put the clip back where it when, zip tied the hell out of the light and put a clamp on the top corner by the turn signal. Let dry, then I siliconed a line around the entire seam(I dont plan on opening it again so that is why I did it)
let that dry and enjoy.

Cool

Guess it didn't work. I really do hate the 6 minute rule for editing. So after an hour of trying to figure out how to host pictures, I will finally go the easy route, and post the link to my album at acura inspired. These are the night pics of Drew's TL with his newly fabricated angel eyes. Also could someone pm me as to how I can host pics so this doesn't happen again. Thanks and Hope you like it!!!

cool mod. it looks quite nice at night with low beam off. However with the low beam on it's hard to see the angle eyes. With the 5 series there are some space between the low beam projectors and the angle eyes, and you can see them at night clearly. But on the TL there is no space at all. The glare of the HID over shines the glow from the angel eyes.

not bad... i think it like it. if you were to get some projectors retrofitted for the low beams, they would probably stand out more (the angel eyes).

if you could cut and fit a little seperater between the high and low beams i think the angel eyes would be that much more defined, either way that is hot!! how much and how easy
