acura service what a joke
Mondy I take my car in as the steering wheel has a vibration/shutter in it, navi locks up (second time with this trouble), subwofer cover rattles. They call me up stating my tires that are 2 weeks old are out of ballance and I have to get them rebalanced, I refused to pay for this as the trouble was there with the other set of tires and still there now.
I get the car back and still has the vibration/shutter in the steering wheel, didn't do anything again for the Navi, and they state they can not find the ratttle in back.
Tuesday
My transmition goes totaly out on me less than 50 miles from when I picked the car up.
they get me a pos rental to drive while they fix (ya right let my car sit and rot) the transmition. I'm promised on Friday they will have a transmition for me and should be able to get it done that day or possible the following Monday. I go to the dealership my car has not moved since I droped it off last Tuesday. Monday they tell me the transmition was in and they will have it done today or tomorrow. Here I sit and it's tomorrow and they still have not started to work on it and they promise me it by tomorrow.
I've called Acura customer service on these issues, first lady was very rude and told me there is nothing she can do to help me.
I called again and the next person took my name and info and was to put a trouble ticket in and see what they could do to help me with warranty on the new transmition or cost of the 5yr/100k warranty. I was promised a call no later than Monday by them, here it is Tuesday and I have to call them myself to find out what is going on.
I'm dealing with a guy named Antwan (not sure how to spell it) all he can do is make excuses, "oh the work load might be high at the dealership", "maybe there are older warranty work they need to do first", etc. I asked again on the warranty of the new transmition and Acura's offical stand on this now is once the odometer reads 50k it's my problem.
as for help on the extended warranty he tells me well lets wait and see when the car is fixed what we can do for you but I can't say we will do anything at this time. (total blow off) if the thing the new transmition is going to last like it should what's the risk in giving me a 50k warranty on the relaced part?

yeah, you have to watch those dealerships...the services are basically glorified oil changes (99% of them anyways)....stuff under warranty you don't really have much of a choice, but don't let them **** you around! I cringe everytime I have to take my car in there for warranty related repair

Dude! That's some f*'d up sh*t! Take your car to another dealer and contact Acura Regional Service and launch a complaint against them! Last I heard...Acura has been pretty nice about tranny replacements even though they were out of warranty provided you didn't nos or do some sh*t to the engine.

As for contacting acura I've done this now 3 times on this issue they blame it on just the service being bussy or some s(*t like that!
I know for sure I'm done with acura for ever all cars have troubles but mine is just uncalled for and the responces suck

When I owned my Honda, I had terrible customer service/ repair service at a local Honda Dealership. Then I drove about 15 extra miles, found another dealership, and have never taken my Honda ANYWHERE else.
I make the drive there, even when I am 30 + miles away, because they really do know the meaning of Customer Service. A lot of times, these kinds of issues are related to a particular dealer. I would recommend just trying another dealership, telling them you have had a terrible time at another one, and name it, and I bet you will see a definite difference in service.
I did all that, and have always been satisfied at the new place.

well I would take the car to another dealership, but the stupid transmision will not catch enough to get the car to another dealership. I will never take it to courtsey Acura in Longwood, FL ever again. Granted they are friendly and help me with a loner rental as soon as I got there, but on same token they could at least fix my problems, and not just shrug them off. My biggest trouble is the closest dealership is 35 miles and the next is 5o or the totaly other direction at 60 miles. so nothing too close.
but had I know they would leave my car just sitting there for a week and not even try to fix it when they get the part and wait till they are read to fix it I would have gone elsewere.
Personaly I think because acura is covering this pos rental I have they don't care how long they wait.

Take your car to a different dealership...
Also, when talking on the phone with Acura rep, tape record everything...so if she/he is rude to you, use that to complaint to their superior .... bring a mini recorder and record ALL conversation when you're at the dealer (put in where they can't see it)...and use that if they go back on their words...
