Anyone have this prob. Seems like there is no smooth takoff. Ive checked the TB and put silicon spray on the butterfly valve to no avail.

Thanks,

do not put silicone spray on TB butterfly. Clean your TB immediately wth air intake & TB cleaner. Also clean TB cables and that should help. Regular maintainence with prevent lurching. get some gumout complete fuel system cleaner after next oil change(Mobil1 full syn recommended). then check air filter, if dirty get a K&N filter unless you have a CAI(cold air intake). how many miles and what year is your car?

I only used the silicon spray on the springs not inside the intake. The car has 95k on it and is a 02. The air filter is new.

okay, that's not good either. don't use silicone spray on TB cables, clean them with TB asap.

Anyone ever heard of the throttle cable streaching. It seems to be kinda streatchy( Like a rubber band). The Cruise control cable is very firm but i can tug the throttle cable out. Going to replace to see if it fixes issue.

The metal cable itself? Back and forth or left to right? You should be able to adjust it.
