Acura is horrible

Can you believe the problems these guys are having with their CL-S's?? I smell a recall and a class action suit. The cupholder thing is outrageous, and the dealers are no help at all. Whats going on Acura?????

I looked at it, but what are they talking about?

Some talked about Acura cup holder, some the gas tank.....???

If the gas tank is empty, it surely beacause:

1) Someone or you drove the car
2) Has a hole in the gas tank
3) The engine is not burning the fuel efficiently

???

Mr. Hyde, I've had these same complaints about VW, Nissan, Chevy and Ford. If it were not for the VW's and Nissan's I'd blame these problems on American assembly workers.

Aren't VW's made in Mexico and Nissan is now moving factories to US?

Just for the record, I too was intending my comment to be sarcastic.

It seems most problems are blamed on American workers. I am quite happy with the quality of my American built machine, and although it was not the deciding factor... the fact that it is American built helped persuade me to purchase this vehicle.

Exactly what does a class action suit smell like? Can you buy one at a department store?

obviously ur not a man of good taste.... a class action suit cannot just be bought in a department store, it is a very prestigious label that is only avaible through high priced lawyers, and they give them out to those they find worthy

When I first saw the post subject, I was shocked that he said that. Then I realized his sarcasm. He loves his car to death!

I agree with Mr. Hyde. I'm thinking about writing a letter to Acura and demanding they replace my TLS. The reason is simple:

It seems like once every week or so the car gets dirty just from being driven around every day! The result is that I have to keep bringing the car to a place that washes it and dries it for me. The problem with this is I have to pay for the car to be cleaned. Come on Acura! Get you act together already. Why should I have to wash the car just to keep it looking as good as it did when I first bought it.

heh.. the trick for you is to once a week have an appointment scheduled with an acura dealership for some "noises" that you hear... they could be other people honking, or maybe birds chirping... but u only hear them when ur in the car... now, when u bring it to a dealer, they will look at you funny, but then try to find the problem, and in the end they will wash your car for free.. problem solved!

Don't forget the muffler bearings- we've seen a lot of problems with the stock ones- the Comptech replacements are much better.

Mine only starts when I turn the key.

And the navigation...can't even turn at the right places. My arms get tired from steering on my own.

I have this same problem too, except I wash my car myself (I will probably be dead before a car wash washes and dries my car for me with their dirty towels.) The worst is the birds that divebomb my car right after she is all clean and shiny. All this money and I have to spend all this time and effort cleaning it up all the time???? I guess in order to make the car so cheap at 33710 plus tax (cheap??? ) they had to cut corners somewhere.

How can Acura compete with anyone with blunders like this??? I am never going to buy an Acura again. I should probably go trade in ona Toyota Xanax err I mean Camry right now.

Mr Hyde and Bigman:
You two tie for the funniest-person-on-the-board-today award...congrats...you may pick up your trophies by sending a $4000 paypal payment to austin519@aol.com, of course giving me your addresses.

And Bigman...I would have to say yours was the funniest if not because it hit home. I had a model gas powered plane, and a certain younger brother thought it just ran on "liquid"...horrible results I would rather not discuss, as years of therapy have allowed me to successfully repress it

I needed a good laugh! Great thread!

One question though... Do class action suits come double breasted? Can you get cuffs on the pants?

God, I hate Acura too! The stupid car never goes the same amount of time on a tank of gas. You'd think Acura would have researched this fault. One time I fill up it lasts a week other times it only lasts 5 days. What up w/this? Oh yea some guy offered me some Beach Front property in Arizona, is this a good deal?

But I get ripped off by my dealer - they only have 2002 CL-P's for loaners! NO 2002 TL-S'! what a downgrade! Other dealers give 2002 Ferrari's.

I hate Acura.

(And so that no one has to ask, please note tongue planted firmly in cheek and smiley)
