Red face Acura hood bra

I just got the bra and installed the top portion over the hood. I am concerned with chips. Its looks good on Monterey Blue Pearl. However, I just realized that it might be a hassle taking it off every time it rains or I have to wash the car. For now I keep it on for winter protection from rock salt up here in the Northeast. Does anyone have one and think there worth it?

ive got one. i'll admit, its a hassle. but i find its the best method of protection. those clear bra things make me weary. i dont think you should leave the bra on during winter. it will hold moisture. i only put it on when going on the highway and
only after washing the car.

Maybe you should have gotten the clear transparent Bra that companies like 3M make.
Or you might have did the correct thing if you wanted the sporty look of the factory Bra.

Tim C make sure you wax the parts that the bra is on with a good quality paste wax.

I only put my on when ever I am going on highways. Try not to keep the head cover up too long because it dose absorb mosture, which will eventually cause rust. Another thing is that if you keep it tooooooo long, then the colour of your car might have two different colors due to areas exposed to sun light and others are not.

Thumbs up

I've got one and I'll admit it is a little bit of a hassle to take it off when it rains or if I will wash it. Also its a good idea to take it off if you keep it in the sun and you aren't driving it. Like they said use a good wax underneath. It's worth it unless you like white chips from the road on a dark color like black or blue. It also helps against f*&$(n people who can't park and hit your bumper.

I used to have one on my old car. I never took it off. It did make a line across the hood and the paint looked like it was pitting under the bra. I don't think you get the problems if you follow the correct procedures everytime. It is when you get lazy when all the problems pop up.
