Accident, Airbags did not deploy but SRS light on
Hello Everyone,
Well i just got my car back from the body shop. I t-boned a guy who was trying to make a left (my right of way).
The airbags didn't deploy which i guess was a good thing because i wasn`t going too fast at the time of impact. The damage was on the passenger side of the car.
Now the SRS light comes on. Is this normal after a front end accident? This is the second front end accident this car was in and the SRS did not come on the first time.
I already fixed that seatbelt issue. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Your airbags will only deploy above a certain speed/force. I think it's around 30 or 35 mph.
Assuming everything is in working order the SRS light should NOT be on, regardless of whether you've just had a collision or not.
You can try to see if it'll reset, by letting the car sit, then restarting it (or by disconnecting the battery).
If it doesn't reset or goes on and off intermittently, you need to have it checked.

the body shop was suppose send the car into a Honda or Acura dealership, so they would be able to reset the airbag and SRS codes. my car was in a front collision accident and it was sent to a Honda or Acura dealership to have the airbag and SRS codes reset. it would be about $100.00 for the airbag code plus $309.00 for the SRS codes be reset. which ever body shop you went to didnt do a very good job if they didnt reset codes that were needed to be done.

forgot to add $416.00 for removing and replacing the airbag control unit.
