AC issues

Hi guys,

I have a 2000 TL. Love this car. Just lately I have had this issue:

AC and fan will not operate.

Initial Symptoms:
1. No fan.
2. Fan on in 3 seconds but no cooling.
3. Fan on and cooling but not really cold.
4. Cooling as usual.
5. Again no fan.
... and so on.

I thought it was the condenser relay. I changed it. Worked for a day. Then again it happened. NO fan and NO cooling.

I am thinking it is an electrical problem. Is there any advice here, please help me. I am mechanically inclined and I can fix most things if I know what is wrong.

PS: I will be out of town until Tuesday of next week, so if I do not reply right away, please do not be offended.

My AC stopped working, changed the blower cause i initially thought that was the problem, but it ended up being my transistor.

There's a transistor in the passenger footwell its like a fat T shape IIRC (this was like 4 years ago) had to replace that. The part is like $45 or something like that I think.

Thank you guys for the reply. Here is the update. I took it a local mechanic. He ended up changing the Blower Motor, Resistor and Wiring harness. The blower motor connection was burnt and that caused the problem. I guess that is a common problem, as the connection is too tight. Total cost: $350.00 I like this guy. He is very reasonable. Anyone in South LA or North OC, has a Honda or Acura, let me know and I can refer you to this guy.
