ABS?? Help!!
Hey,
I have an 03 TL S and just had the lower ball joints replaced. For some odd reason the ABS engages randomly.. u can feel it buzzing and the break pedal pulses. The ABS light does not light up. I know it is working though because when u first turn the key all the lights come on and go away after the self check, Anyone have any idea why this would be happening?
I was thinking its possible that the mechanic could have gotten grease or dirt in the speed sensor, dunno if that would cause the abs to go nuts.
Any help or ideas would be great...
Thank You.

That's all possible, perhaps even some grease got on the inboard side of the rotor, causing brake slippage, just a theory.
A car I was working on had a rock near the sensor, throwing ABS/VSC lights.
Also don't know if he removed the drive shaft, but if the reluctor (speed sensor ring) isn't in the right place that will cause funny stuff.
Some Honda's had them on the wheel bearing, installing it backwards would cause ABS to come on.

Hey,
I got the car up in the air and checked everything out... it was the reluctor (speed sensor ring), as u said, itwas barely aligned with the speed sensor.. screwdriver and hammer realigned it now its not acting up anymore..
Thank you very much for ur suggestion..
