Angry 9K- rotors resurfaced, new brakes...

Well, I just got my 2003 TL-S back from the dealership. What's up with the brakes? What have you done to correct your problem (if you had any so far)...I have read that several have had problems too...this is discouraging...considering I just got rid of my 96 Integra that didn't need brakes until 129K...yes you read correctly 129,000.

I hope this doesn't turn into a regular occurence...evidently by some posts I have read so far it is...does this qualify under the CA Lemon Law?

Maybe I should have bought that C240 afterall.

Nah...I still love my Acura.

Hey, if anyone has solutions to this possibly recurring problem, please let me know.

I hardly ever used the darned things, I have 2 tickets to prove it.

the best solution would be to buy brembo big brake upgrade.

Question hey typesdragon?

did you have to pay for resurfacing any of those times?

Is it warrantied?

Did your steering wheel shake with moderate to heavy braking?

thanks

I had mine done the 1st time around 14K for free. They said my warranty expires at 15K because I dropped it.

I got mine re-surfaced & new front, back brake pads under warranty when I was 18K miles. I have 24K miles, no problem so far.

my service advisor said the new brake pads are made of a new material that will not warp the rotors, so the problem shouldnt happen again.

Austin 519 is doing a groupbuy on Brembo blanks aftermarket drilled/slotted...on acura world for $135. I'd get em if I had the cash...his AIM name is Austin 519 (without the space)

Brembo it is.

I didn't have to pay for any of it. It was still under warranty. Just bummed with the inconvenience.

I will have to wait for Brembo though...it's a couple grand that I can't put down right now. (Getting married next year...we are paying for it ourselves.)
