Hey everyone. I just bought a 99 pearl white tl with 70,000 miles on it. Before I bought it, the tranny was rebuilt by acura with the new designed tranny. Acura didn't seal up the tranny pan completly and it was leaking tranny fluid. I started to drive it back to acura and once I was 5 miles from my house I decided to check the fluid level. When I checked it, it was empty so I was right by a shop and I had them fill it up with fluid. Whenever I start out driving slow, there is about a 1 second pause shifting from 1st to 2nd. Now I know what a tranny feels like when it is slipping, and my tranny is deff not slipping. When I accelerate faster this doesn't happen. Is everyones 99 tl like this, or is it just mine? And does anyone know what causes it?
It doesnt rev like it would if it was going. Its really hard to explain. Everyone i let drive it says its fine and im just paranoid. Im trying to thinking of a better way to explain it. Its almost like when it shifts into 2nd the rpms are real low again so it takes a second to get back up to where they should be.
