The RSX-s is faster than the TSX. Same HP, the RSX weighs 2800 lbs. and the TSX weighs 3250 lbs.

It all depends on if he's a good stick driver... auto always seems to win against bad stick drivers.... in my experience.

LOL, 200 HP VS. @225 HP?

No competition but if he is good at stick than his weight advantage and better handling might kill you..

I for one think it will be Close..

"200hp vs. 225hp" ... bro, no competition?? Why don't you compare wheel horsepower, hp/weight ratios and gear ratios (w/ final drive) and lemme know what's "no competition"

guys, seems like yall only compare between horses... but that doesnt really much... real race win need torque... and TL V6 torque is way higher than TSX's 164lbs.... and plus, 4cyc seems to run out of juice after 3rd.... personly i think TL would sure win... even he can have a perfect launch, you will catch him in 2nd or 3rd....

i had the auto for a while when my car was in the shop. i noticed that my car 03 tlp had a better jump but in the tsx i was able to take it to 80 mph in second, after htting about 3000 or 3500 rpms thats when it picked up. if its a straight away you should win. but that car can handle turns better then ours. if that helps any.

gear ratios can negate low torque numbers when they are close ratios .... when don't YOU ever talk about gear ratios?

Automatic slushbox vs. close ratio 6-spd ...

I swear 95% of the people on here just stick to driving nice cars and not open their mouths about racing.

Close race, but the TL should still win. The TSX on the other hand would hand your ass to you in a slalom.

been there done that. My friend with a 99 ran a brand new oem kitted out 6 speed. The guy launched hard a jumped like a half a car, once the TL hit vtec and shifted into second it was over, but not by much. Then i lined up with the tsx and lets just say off the line i took him by about 5 cars.

I have had a run in with a TSX. Right when it came out wanted to catch up to it on route 1 north NJ. I caught up pretty quick, but then he started being a **** give me a dirty look and the finger and drove off. I kinda got pissed, and I just threw into D3 when the car was in 4th, hit the gas I got right next to him showed him the same courtesy and drove off. Funny thing though I couldn't shake him but i really didnt feel he was so much faster. Still though its a nice car...

agreed. it would be close, but even in a 6 speed, the guy would have to be REALLY REALLY good, and you would have to launch yours wrong... i would imagine off the line the tsx MANUAL would take a car length to a TL-P, then the TL would come nose to nose between 50 and 60. thats in a 99 though, since our trannies are 4 speeds, the 5 speed would take her a little quicker of cource.

did you notice what I wrote after it?

The TL is faster but TSX has lower weight, 6 Speed, and better handling, and maybe that i-Vtec Engine can do something too.. But yes it would be close..
