99 TL, tranny going and have a question

Ok, i just checked my papers and my 99 TL left warrenty on june 18 (and yes, my tranny started acting up on.... june 20)..

I read that some of you got your tranny replaced out of warrenty for free on the 99 TLs ..

My question:

How did you get Acura to do this? I don't really want to pay for a tranny that is dying at 48000 miles!

They warranty the tranny 7yrs 100k. So you are still covered don't worry about it. That is the only upgrade to our warranty original 4y 50k.

But i never got an extended warrenty on the TL.. so, if the warrenty expired june 18th, doesn't that mean that my tranny is now also un-warrentied?

This is a 99 TL, as far as i am aware, those didn't get the extended warrenty from Acura due to tranny problems. (wasn't that the 2000,2001,2002 and 2003 models only?)

Your tranny :(

I am on my 3rd right now under 40k miles, they say its a Piece that was in the 5-speed automatic transmissions and it started up in 2001. However, I have spoken directly to the head customer service rep so many times, we're on a first name basis. (Obviously mine is a hunk of crap). If you want his number, email me and I'll respond with it.
