I think I'm gonna have to opt myself off of the list. I needa job and it's hard to find one in these difficult times, nevermind the stress of college. We will see in the future. But yes, like others, if it was painted for $200, I'd be definately down.

If you choose to design something like 7, it'll come out differently because the top corners of the 2g TL rear window is rounded quite a bit unlike that of the A4. I'm excited to see how it comes out although I'm less than likely to buy it

I went and checked out progress and I am really happy to say that I believe we nailed the shape of the spoiler. Ours comes all the way to the body and covers up the seal around the glass to make a seamless look. Also the spoiler is like dead flat on the top, but there is an illusion that it kicks up a bit because the roof slopes down to the glass. It should satisfy nearly everyone as it is not an overly-aggressive looking design, yet it adds quite a bit of flair. It also curves nicely on the sides to blend well with the body of the car.

The one thing that might not be perfect for some is that it is definitely a spoiler, not a visor or wing like in this rendering:



Some of the designs we've had comments on are more like visors, how they are really thin and don't put as much of a footprint on the glass. We could do this if we were injection molding plastic and making 1000 parts...unfortunately because we are making these in carbon and fiberglass there needs to be some sort of a wall to support the structure of the spoiler at the back edge. The rear of the spoiler on the underside comes out at about a 60 degree angle off the glass. The glass angles down so when you look from the side the spoiler the back edge sits at about 45 degrees to perpendicular to the horizon. For people that want more of the "visor" look we are considering offering a black-out decal for the trailing edge to give more depth when viewed from the back. Some colors, like white or silver, might want this, but black cars probably won't care much.

The bottom line of all this is, we think this spoiler is really going to look great!
