Are 9005 and 9006 bulbs inter-changeable?
Hello I am wondering if anybody know the differences between the 9005 (high beams) and 9006 (fog light) bulbs as far as the wattage go. Are the wire connection the same at the plug? Do they share the same base? (Meaning if a 9005 bulb be screw in to the 9006 socket or vice versa)
Thank you for any comment and suggestion.

They can fit with slight modification to the base of the 9005 bulb. All you need to do is take a razor and slice off a plastic tab. Then the 9005 will plug right in to the 9006 base. Look at a 9006 and a 9005 and you'll see what I am talking about and what needs to be done in a second.
Most 9005's are 55-60 watts unless you intentionally buy a much higher wattage bulb. The stock wiring harness can handle a 9005 bulb no problem, it already does for your high beams. Going higher (>80watts ) could burn out your relays.

aside from the base the wiring harness wont fit....unless you do slight modifications to it.....hard to explain but just hold the 9006 and the 9005 side by side where teh wires connect into
and there is a lil plastic block you need to shave off i dunno if this is the same that mr hyde was talking about but if it is well heheh
