60k service cost

What have you guys paid for 60k service for 99 TL in NJ?

Do you change your oils every 3,000 miles or 7,500 like the manual said?

I was actually thinking the same thing. I will need to go in for a new door lock (Rear passenger), 60k service, and power steering problems. Anyone wanna take a guess at what I might be spending?

I change the oil every 5,000 miles...it's easy to remember that way. What goes in to a 60,000 mile service?

Dealer 60K services will vary. I would guess ~$300.

The price should be slightly higher than the 30,000 mile service.
You should prepare to pay $350-$400 range its another 30,000 MAJOR SERVICE again.

If im not mistaken, the 60k service is a big one. I think they change the trans fluid, coolant, plugs, etc.

Is it possible to get a 60k service done somewhere other than the dealer, for cheaper?

Most any independent garage/mechanic can do it, and probably for less too.

With the 30,000 mile service you should get your trans fluid. I guess this is done at all ACURA DEALERSHIPS. This was included at my 30,000 mile service. Its just a repeat of the 30,000 service with maybe a little more. As far as getting the service done somewhere other than dealership of course you can. But I would check the dealer prices as well as services perform at this interval. I am now looking at a service flyer I get in the mail from a HONDA/ACURA SERVICE CENTER. I had work done there on my 94 ACCORD before I got my TL. They are factory trained techs because the guy that owns the shop was a master tech for the HONDA dealership I got 3 of my new cars from. He has over 25yrs experience working on HONDA & other makes like Toyota & LEXUS. Some of the oter techs that worked for that dealership work at his place. But for example I look at his flyer for say 30,000 mile service & he charges in general $425 Reg. now $389 special for the 6cyl 30,000 mile service. This shop changes the plugs & coolant at 30K service when the dealer does not. The platinum plugs are extra charge. Now they do about everything the dealer does & more. But it also says some models slightly higher I bet a current model TL/CL/RL is one of them. They also do not say they change the A/C CABIN FILTERS. The dealer does do this at 30,000 & 60,000 mile service.
