6000K FOGS are in

HID fogs are now in, and wow they make a big difference compared to the stock Halogens. I could probabluy drive using just them, and it is bright, but not blinding. I love it. Reminds me of the new ad for the Altima HID's. Its daylight in front of the car, night in the rear.

I got the Phillips kit which now matches my Headlights perfectly and gives me nothing but crystal pure white illumination. This mod definitely gets a big thumbs up from me.

Was it just bulb replacement or ballast and the whole nine yards?

go here and see pic 1 and pic 2.

you will need D2S 9006 HID kit (that's ballast and the bulb)

I paid about $450 off of EBay, and its a whole HID 9006 retrofit kit.

Came with Phillips bulbs, Phillips ballasts, and all the necessary wiring. Type S monster has his pics, and they do a pretty good job of capturing the difference in light output which is hard to do. I'll try myself later on.

i have tons of pics, if you want details email me at henrykuo@ee.ucla.edu

you need to convert the whole fogs from halogen to hid with ballasts and bulbs. it should be around 500 bucks at most for philips stuff.

i have also written up a full set of instructions, etc...

mr hyde, what do you mount your ballasts? i put them right under teh stock ones.
