6.5k mile tuneup? Never heard of such a thing.
get a regular oil change as the manual suggest every 3,750 miles.
Once you hit 7,500 then switch over to synthetic and do an oil change every 7,500 miles.
Your first visit to the dealer should not be any sooner than 15k. Some even wait until their 30k tuneup before paying the dealer that much money.

Not a Blowhole
Major ripoff - the manual calls for a tire rotate and an oil/filter change. The rest of the inspection must be the mechanic looking at your car while he eats a doughnut.
Oil the caliber?!? - ask them if this is a car or a shotgun. What next - a chassis lube? How about a shift linkage lube? Moonroof function asessment?

69TL,
I would not pay that. Try finding another Acura dealer in your area. The service rep @ the dealer I went to just changed the oil & rotated the tires. If they need to turn the maint req'd light off(if its on). The rest seems ridiculous.

yea that's what i thought 2, My maint req'd light brinks every since i hit 6000 miles, and it sais on the manual that i need a oil change and tire rotate, but when i call up the dealer for apointment they told me i need a bumper to bumper inspection. so i think i'm just going to have them the eng. oil since i got the free coupon and i'll rotate the tire by myself.

I have just over 15k miles and I have yet to bring the car to my dealer. I do everything myself. I will probably end up bringing the car in for the 30k and 60k as those are pretty big ones, but other then that, no way I'm paying for the in-between services. They are such a rip-off.....

No dealer can cram the extra services down your throat if you dont want them. Ask them to change the oil and rotate the tires only. If they cant do it tell them you'll just take it somewhere else. Even with the oil change they are supposed to do a basic inspection of other components. How many times they actually do that....well your guess is as good as mine.
I for one forgo all that and did the oil change and rotation myself using my good old hydraulic jack and stands.
