45,000 Maintenance Question
Is it worth taking my '03 TL-P to the dealership for the 45,000 miles maintenance check up? I got a quote from the Acura Dealership for about $667, think it's worth it? Or should I just take my car to the dealership for the oil change and do a tune up elsewhere? Thanks in advance.

Wow, they are yanking your chain. I just called yesterday for the price for the 45K service, and I was quoted $322.90 + tax. The 45K service is mainly an oil change plus a lot of inspections, so you can get everything else done somewhere else (and the oil change somewhere else if you want to and you can trust the shop, which is what I'm doing).

I would do the oil change yourself and see what you can inspect yourself. I am sure there is some type of info on whatever the inspections are somewhere on this site. And if not, you can always post a thread asking, someone here has to know.

If anyone on this site hasn't done it yet, go register your car on Acura Owner's Link (just search Google for the website). There it will show you a lot of things like what the service schedule is and what is done at each service. It will also show you any recalls on your vehicle and whether or not they have been done.
