3rd gen owner wants 2nd gen

I just got my 04 TL about 2 weeks ago and me and my fiance love it so much that were thinking about getting an 02 or 03 as a second car....just wanted to know what i should look out for with the 2nd gen TL when i purchase a used one...so far all i know is the tranny can be a prob...

any help would be greatly appreciated...

look for a Type-S . i dont think theyre any other major concerns other than the tranny. i dont know what the going price would be but i hope u guys get a good one. jus be cautious and if anything sounds or looks fishy, then check it out jus for some peace of mind.

I agree with the Type S comment, but make sure that the vehicle is covered by the 100k tranny warranty. Some '03's are not.

i don't think you could get that kind of a deal. i think more in the 20-25k price range for type s w/low miles. of course, depends on what you consider low.

This may sound crazy, but you are better suited to buy the 03' that doesn't have the automatic warranty extension, because these cars have the updated transmission, which should not be subject to easy failure.
