I've been searching HIGH and low for an ECU From a 2003 CLS-6 MANUAL Car!!! I CANT FIND ONE!!!! the ones i have found. people want some ass rape prices for them and i'd rather spend less than more on it even though i know i need it. Question is i saw on Rock auto.com a Remanufactured ECU and i'm not sure if this is a GOOD ecu? if there are any known problems with a reman ecu... can anyone give me some ideas so hopefully i dont waste my next few hundred dollars on a buy that was no bueno... This is the link to the site. http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carc...Computer_.html

Ive bought some A1 Cardone stuff before - no issues. I know its a popular company for aftermarket specific items ( like your OE rims, etc) that others wouldn't typically carry.
Insurance companies up here use them as well as a parts provider. Im not sure of the value of that statement.
The only other alternative I can forsee for you is the "junkyard" for a part out vehicle. But I would make sure the ECU part is the one that you need as I see 4 different ECU parts for that vehicle.
I have generally found rockauto prices to be very competitive. For us up here in Canada, they are a steal in terms of prices.
Good luck.

Dont trust that jacksonville Florida dealer. I have seen that car listed a few different places with mileage ranging from 63,000 miles up to 179,000. When I called them they said we wrote down the mileage but lost it somewhere and the guy kept giving me a bunch of bs

The first one assclown listed. I live in Jacksonville Florida and was thinking about doing the 6speed swap so I was going to get the stuff since it said the car only had 63,000 miles on Craigslist. When I called them to check the mileage they were like hold on I'll call you back. He called me back and said he didn't know what the mileage was because they lost it somehow. Then he kept giving me a run around about how he rather have a car or parts with higher mileage so I decided to stay away from them. Everytime I see them list stuff places it has different mileages/ information.

If i were to do the whole thing over again id say screw the oem cls6 ecu and module and get the aem ems standalone and keep auto wiring. Costs is a little bit more but you can actually tune it and see good results.
I have one waiting to go in along with auto harness. Just need to get time and monies to finish engine

Moneypit has his setup going. Don't waitup on Kris. Honestly in my case, it had nothing to do with the EMS. My engine's timing was off and that's what the whole problem was. After all that I just didn't feel like turboing anymore so I sold the EMS and haven't had the motivation to sell the turbo kit.

Crazy as hell how Acura used two completely different crank/cam reference systems on on the same year/model/trim/engine vehicle (2003 CL-S). I'm not too familiar with the CL-S 6-speed but after reviewing the powertrain diagrams I'd say why didn't they incorporate the manual transmissions engine sensors onto the atleast all other type S models? This is the only model (01-03) Acura did this on and surely they were quite aware of its extreme timing/referencing accuracy to keep it on the their top model for 3 consecutive years! What is perplexing is how they used 4 referencing sensors on the CL-S MT but in 04 went back to 2 sensor but changed them to Hall style. And the 2 sensor Hall system was kept all the way to 4G TL and is currently still in existence. Meanwhile, the 2G TL-S boasted a 2 sensor Mag style system. Why?
Also, Acura reports BOTH the TL-S and CL-S (auto and manual) as having a 6,600RPM rev limit. Ive read where others here have wrote 6,900 or 7,200 rev limits...

Spend the money on a light weight flywheel.
It will really free up hp.
