TLS....all nice and slicked up with 2 coat of Zaino before I left Indy. 70-75 MPH almost all the way...(couple of forays up to about 100-100). I was soooo surprised.....best mileage Ive gotten yet!

This MPG is entirely possible to all the doubters and I have come close to this myself, although not surpassed it! I think my best was 33.7 MPG during a 500 mile round-trip journey.

Indy and Vandy,

Are you guys having any fun when you drive your TL?

All jokes aside, I get an average of 17-18 MPG living and driving around in the NY Metropolitan area. I have made one trip to Boston and got 27MPG on that one trip.

A big difference IMO, simply shows what that 5th gear (overdrive.......the 2nd one) can do. I simply didn't have a chance to get better then 27 due to my often heavy right foot:p.

Okay Okay. I admit it! I did baby the car around but only because my family was with me. It was still a great drive and no matter how I am driving, I always enjoy my TL-S.

This car is easy on gas, as long as you're on the highway - I got 31+ mpg on our last trip.

However, if you're a bit heavy on the pedal around the city, low 20's and even high teens aren't out of the question

Congrats on the awesome mileage. Though most of my driving is city, I don't remember the last time I saw 300 miles on the trip meter before the low fuel light coming on.

It's worth it, though

Do you have the stock intake? Can you get better mileage with a performance intake? Anyone use a K&N replacement dropin filter? A guy at an Acura/Honda shop said that the CAIs do not perform well when the weather is warm. Anyone have any problems with them?

What do you guys consider as easy driving though? Keeping it constantly at 55mph (we all know how hard that is)? I admit sometimes I'm gas pedal happy, but like someone said here, I rarely see it pass more than 300 miles before the refill light comes on. I once reached 350 miles a few months ago, and it was right after an oil change.

I probably should have stated since my sig is gone now. I have a K&N drop in and the comptech header on the car. Anytime you can increase the air into the engine, and increase the ability of the engine to get the air OUT of the engine, you not only increase performance, you will increase mileage.

For everyone else.....I had the cruise on most of the time. This car has a big disparity in mileage...city to highway. Around town, I get about 20 to 21.
