3000k or 6000k?
well im planning on getting hids for my fog lights now instead of changing them every so months, im debating between 3000k or 6000k. I jus reordered my headlight hids which are now going to be 6000k (regret getting the 8000k). Does anyone have pictures of how the 3000k hids look and 6000k hids look on the tl? I have a wdp any input is much appreciated.

im not really worried about using them in the fog, i have seen that the stock hids are good enough alone in fog, so i am really basing this on looks, which would look better. I have been told to do yellow because that is what alot of guys are into right now, but i dont wanna end up being mistaken for a lexus far away :S not that they are bad cars but i wanna make my acura stand out.

If u ask me I would say go with the 3000k. I think that looks better and different from other cars because mostly every1 who I see get aftmkt fogs go with the 6000k or higher and it looks ghetto to me. Like NC-Grayson said It's your car playa, do what you like.......

Yup, do a search on my name for a DIY and pics of the 3000K HID fog install. I like yellow in winter time for snow/sleet and I switch to 4300K bulbs for the rest of the year for extra brightness on the sides of my car for our road trips

I dont know how things are out there, but i have a buddy that has 6000K Headlights and foglights, and here in ohio he is constantly getting pulled over and hassled for his fogs being so bright. Just trying to save you some trouble. Cough Cough go with yellow. But its your car, do what you think looks best.

When I had the 6000K headlights and 4300K fogs, it looked really nice. I do worry about running 4300K headlights and 4300 fogs sometimes since it is so bright and the colors match. Most cops know that fogs should not be brighter than the headlights. So, I think you get way more leeway from cops by having yellow fogs since they seem easier on the eyes...could be overthinking. I read an article in motor trend where some states are considering a ban on HID lighting all together..yes, this includes factory equipped HID cars also..not sure how they can get away with that. The same debate when halogen replaced sealed beams back in the day, HID will eventually be the norm, not the oddball.

HID 4300K fogs look unique and stand out more I think...could be overthinking.
I would be smart to adjust the fogs down just a touch to help reduce some of the glare. When you squat down from a little distance away, as you bop up and down the beams of the headlights should hit at the same time (level). Then, as you squat down further, the fogs beam should hit at the same time. I've seen some people raise fogs to match the beam level of the headlights, bad idea!! Keep in mind too, that if you have a large load in the trunk or some people in the back seat, your fog and headlight beams will raise too and will appear brighter to oncoming drivers. I have only been flashed once since having these HID fogs and that was on a dark stretch of two lane road when I came over a hill...the fog beam hit the oncoming driver and they flashed me, but there is know way to avoid that in that situation. Other than that, no drama with flashing..
