Question 3 inch cat back pipes & resonator removal

Thinking of removing my TL's resonator and going to 3 inch pipes from the cat back to my stock mufflers.

Will I realize any hp gains? Any effect on torque? Will the resonator removal increase the noise levels inside the car? If so at what speeds or RPMs?

I'm trying to increase my engine's hp performance without any sacrafice to the character / luxury of the car. I'm also reading a lot about mufflers that maintain stock noise levels at lower rpms, but when the car reach's higher rpms a valve opens in the mufflers to increase exhaust flow thus increasing power. Are these mufflers available for the TL?

If you remove your resonator in the B-pipe, it will be LOUD. Also, unless your car has forced induction, do not go to 3" pipe. You will lose power for sure. If you want to gain a little performance and do not want to add alot of noise, my best adivse to you is to get the Comptech axle back mufflers.
