3.5 Upgrade.

Ok, I've been researching a little, and all I get from the past forums is that the 3.5 upgrade is just the term for taking parts from an MDX'x motor, and throwing them onto our cars, increasing power. (Makes sense) I see alot more talk about this on the CL website. (Us being on the TL website) I was wondering if it would work on all of our TL motors (mine being a 99) And I was wondering if any dealer would do it.

I think I'm going to call mine up tomorrow, and ask them about it. TypeR had said it would only cost like 3 grand or so with labor. Maybe more? How much power does it actually gain?? Do you guys think this would actually be better than running a supercharger, because I would LOVE to keep my motor N/A if I could.

My friend opped me to get a turbo today, I was like, ****no. I mean, those things give like, no torque, which (I feel) is what my car actually needs. It has plenty of HP, which can easily be gained through I/E/H, so on and so fourth.

I also had one more question, anyone know where I could get the Tl-s throttle body? That's something key for HP gain that I can do, right? Any other suggestions would be greatly apprecieated.

If you wanted power, why did you get a TL-P. Save the 3 grand trade your car in and get a type S. Who knows what will happen to your motor if you do the upgrade. And with all the tranny problems, i'd be scared to do anything other then i/h/e. If i were you i would stick with the basic bolt-ons. The car is not a sports car, its an entry level luxury car. It's ok to look for some extra performance through some bolt-on mods, but changing the block is a little extreme for the type of car you are driving. Trade your car in and get a G35 coupe if you want some performance and luxury.

If you want to be fast, just get I/H/E and 50 shot wet.

No point in changing cams, throttle bodies, etc... waste of money for little or no gains...

V-AFC work wit NOS? anyone know?
