Thumbs up 2004 TL in Car and Driver w/ 6 speed!!!

Just received my new Car and Driver and a 6 speed is available. I am hoping a TLS will come out in a year and a half when my lease is up!

for now there will be no TL-S that's true, but i wouldnt be surprised if acura released a type-S model about half a year after the TL comes out..

Speaking of the new model. I still remembered one of the **** head salesmen told me when I was shopping 3 yrs ago. He said Acura is trying to follow Euro brands to have a model lifespan longer than 4 years unlike regular Honda. Look at the Integra. This TL model won't be outdated/replaced in 4yrs. This is another evident of how ignorant and fck face a salesman can be to get you to buy. Why don't the car dealer industry set up some standard or a required certification before letting these mother puXXy licker roam free on the lot.

Now I was thinking of getting a TSX next time as it has the 6 speed manual, but they seem a little small to me. Now if the next TL comes in a manual, I think I would go for that.

BTW, @ 270 HP, is there a real need for a TL-S. The 2004 TL seems plenty sporty, but we will always want more.

250, 260, 270HP BFD...I just want to know what the raw 0-60 is. I just need to know who I can smoke, and who I can't off the line. HP does not translate into a great 0-60 time.

CarandDriver lost all my respect over the years as a worthy car magazine IMHO..........

Oh yeah 0-60 in 6 is very sweet. Of course I would love 5.5, but that would be another 15K of car that I do not have-lol!

Im sure they will come out with a type-s eventually... i mean, your only talking 10 more HP than the TL-S now, and theres still a few sedans out there that will take the new TL, and Acura is of cource notorious for kicking their competitors asses when it comes to most power in its class...

Hell, before W8, G35, and the other new muscle sedans, what other sedans could take a TL-S other than a 540 and an M5? i cant really think of any... Q45 i guess, but i think thats it... S500-600, E430, and a few other $60k+ high end V8's....

Acura damn well knows there will be a market for a TL-S in the future prob 2006 but whatever, ill be ready then ehehehhe

Its like AMG is for Mercedes and M is for BMW and etc...
