9000revs

I test drove a base sedan and fell in love today, only to find so much information on the web (edmunds etc.) regarding auto transmission failures. Can anyone please educate me if all 1999-2003 cars are prone to this issue?

anyways! lol... they are prone to fail.. mine hasn't failed yet and its gonna hit 100k soon. some people has gone 120k and hasn't gone..

some went at 75k...

but it is sure to fail.. sadly....

kinda sucks for such a great car.

skip the beginning pages from years ago

Midyear 03 production there was a cutoff to settle a court case for extended warranty.
was not a fix of the problem
04 and 05 carried the problem forward!

Check the status if original trans and if the oil jet recall was ever performed
1-800-382-2238 x5
give them VIN number and ask for a pre buy history check

I wouldnt buy another TL without aftermarket warranty on trans for full replacement at failure till past when I plan to own the car
