2003 tl trans leak

2003 tl trans leak

hello need some help, my 2003 tl high mile but well maintained decided to spray all of the trans fluid out of the solenoid under the brown connector, i figured it was rotted out so i bought a nice used part from ebay and same result start the car fluid sprays out fast
the valves i tested with 12v power bot work old and new has anyone else had this happen?
lost where to check next

not the gasket right under connector on solenoid valve in front of fill plug car was good before this.

so you removed and replaced the paper gasket for that solenoid? example of gasket
can you see exactly where the oil spray is coming from on the solenoid? pics would help

In addition, check out
from This Thread to see all the gaskets and o-rings that should be replaced. Rubber ones might be reusable, but that paper one needs to be replaced every time. Also, check to make sure the bolts are not stripped.

solenoid leak

hello it is spraying out right under the brown connector on the round part of the solenoid

If you replaced solenoid and it is leaking in the same spot, then the paper gasket is probably bad. Did you replace that paper gasket when you replaced solenoid? It can look like it is part of the transmission body, I had to carefully remove mine with a razor blade. Link For Paper Gasket
