2003 A-Spec vs. New '04 TL

I have been looking at tons of pics of the TL, from every different angle, and I must say, i can't bring myself to liking it more then my ride. I mean it's a beautiful car, but the A-Spec that I have in Aegean blue is a couple notches above. there's no doubt when I have that baby shining, and the Rims are shining, there's nothing like it on the road...

the '04 TL is not half as beautiful as the '03's. I find the design is much sexier on the '03's...

what do you guys think???

besides the Brembo brakes and all the little extras given in the new ones...if we compare apples with apples, and go strictly based on design and looks, which one do you guys like better?

2nd Gen. It looks wider and lower, which is more to my taste.

3rd Gen looks like it is trying to look like a BMW. And BMWs are ugly.

yah i totally prefer the look of our 2nd Gen TL's. Especially the TL-S. I find that the TL-S in Aegean Blue Pearl with chrome door handles and a chrome front rim around the grill in the front of the car is the hottest car on the road!!!

I do not like the 04 either. The one thing I do like thou are the wheels 235 45 17 that is some serious rubber to the ground, I wouldn't mind having those on my car.

same here for the chrome handles and grill. and it just doesn't seem fair the new TL has 17x8 wheels with better stock wheels. dunno what made em think it was time to ditch the crappy michelins.

I don't see why they wouldn't...but I would probably buy the tires with it. Why would you want the wheels anyways? I find my a-spec stock rims way hotter then those.

I find in general the a-spec so much nicer. I will give the '04 one tip of the hat, and that is the interior. It is very very sexy. I definitely prefer the inside of the car, but what's the point in having a really nice interior if ppl turn their heads when they see the outside because they don't like it???

the exterior is what it's about!!!

Gotta remember that you will be spending a lot of time inside the car so thank god acura did a superb job. If you don't think we have it good on the inside, just take a look at any of nissan/infiniti's interior.:yack:

BTW, I also like our design more than the 04. But I wouldn't mind the brembos, projectors, better stock rims/tires, LEDs, dual HIDs, 270/238, the whole interior, etc...oh wait, I'm getting out of hand here.

Please Look at the car in person and test drive the 6-speed with LSD, than come back and say you dont like it

No Flames, just saying that most people who saw it in person say it looks 10x better in person than in Pictures

Also when the spy pics started coming out, I thought the car was pretty avg and not at par with 03 TL-S, but than Honda Released official pictures and I WAS IN AWE! I wonder how it will be in person

I want the tires and brakes. Otherwise I like my 2nd Gen. Its all about the overall shape of the car.

The tail end looks like a Pontiac Grand Prix. The sides look like the current BMW 3-series.

If I had it my way, the new 3rd Gen would just upgrade all the interior materials, get new wheels tires and breaks, put the new "family" front on it, and just revise the rear end slightly. Throw in some new technical gadgets and you're done.

I was thinking the same thing!!! Besides our Brake and Tranny issue, I truly have no problem with our cars mechanically speaking. Now for the interior, I will tip my hat to the 3rd gen's and say they are f*cking gorgeous. But like I said, what's the point if ppl are simply gonna turn their heads away because the outside is nothing to look at, then the inside never gets admired. Mind you, that's how you usually get your car vandalized or stolen!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I like the look of the 2003's better than the 2004's.

Okay yeah I guess you're right. I just mean I would would make the car look wider and lower to the ground like the 2nd Gen and get rid of all the goofy styling cues, leave the car more simple and clean on the outside.

Amen to that!!! The only thing I don't like about the Aegean Blue is the upkeep. I could for sure find myself shining the damn car every other day just too keep her looking sexy!!! The first piece of dust, and it shows up on this colour. But I guess that's what you get with any dark colour!!!

I still and always will love my A-Spec!

Ya I dont get what the hell ACURA WAS THINKING!!

They turned the color too dark, its not as nice as the abyss used to be

A lot of people that were considering the blue changed there mind..

I hope the red is bright and not dark and maroonish

I love the TSX RED

It takes time to get used to the new look, but i think in time when you start seeing more of it on the road it will grow on you. y
