Looking under the hood directly above the light you would like to adjust. There is marking with arrows in both directions and wording up down. Sometimes not easy to see. Use a long pillips head screw driver to mesh with what looks like a metal gear on the back of the headlight. Turning this will raise or lower the light.

its easy if you see the arrow for direction- then look on back of housing for a raised V track cast in plastic
let the screwdriver slide down that channel at a rearward angle as needed to clear obstacles
rotate upper gear of mechanism with tip of + srewdriver,,it will act as a gear to gear mesh and turn
If you lowered the car it is several turns to get lights up where you need them

2003 Acura TL Body shop had not adjusted them after a repair.
Right away I found the adjustment for left & right, but could not located the up/down to save me. Downloaded the service manual & it wasn't all that clear, but I knew it was there, so I took off that plastic trim that goes along the width of the car (unnecessary step)
just happened to notice the adjuster (if it was a snake.....) so for other dummy's like me, it's in front of the plastic trim! Just look carefully! You don't have to remove anything! These country roads need all the light ON THE ROAD
