NO! I live in Tucson Arizona and Kelly Blue Book retails it at 17000-18000 www.kbb.com I see them sold around here all the time for around that much. When u go too the dealership make sure its at the end of the month when theyre trying to meet their sales quota, theyre sure to negotiate a good deal. just dont accept anything they offer no matter what, until u see what u like.

oh yeah, do your homework on the car!!!

Very good deal, chances are it's been sitting there for awhile. I'd offer $19, 500 or so. There are alot on the market now.

In my opinion, take the trade-in from KBB and offer $1K more. There's no reason that you should give the dealer $5K more than they have in the car. Would you buy a brand new car for full retail? Probably not. It may work, it may not work, but it worked for me after trying it with about ten different dealers....all depends on how bad you want this specific car and how much patience you have. Also depends on how much dignity you have because some of the sales folks ridiculed me for offering such a low price.

Well that would work if the dealer had do no work in order to certify it. It cost a dealer $600 plus the cost of labor and parts to bring the car to certified condition.

I just got my 02 TLS a couple weeks ago for $16,200 out the door. Has 58K mileage w/out warranty.

$20500? Hmm...its so so. I've seen better deals than that when I was researching. Good luck!

I was looking at $13-15000 for Honda EX v6 but since the TLS 02 was an extra $500, why not? If I could afford 18-20K I would definitely buy it for that price. I'm content with what I have right now...with or without warranty as long as I take care of it real well.

I bought my Black/Black '02 TL-S w/ Navi (44,000 miles) and extended warranty (up to '08 or 100,000 miles) for $20K.

That doesn't sound too bad really, but like the other poster said, offer them lower. I did not have a great experience when I bought my TL from the dealer. It was 4 yrs old w/ 36k. I don't know how they are there, but around here they're rude. You have to go in and fetch a sales consultant unless you pull up in an already expensive car wearing a suit. They somewhat laughed at me with my offer but I got the last laugh on mine though I paid more than I wanted. I quickly told him I had no problems buying elsewhere as I have a relative that can fetch one of those at the auction off lease for thousands cheaper. In fact, I bought through the internet manager because they were too good to come out and help me. I got the "certification" 150 pt inspection that included 4 new tires on the car and brakes all the way around, 30k service, etc. yet I bought the car un-certified meaning I didn't pay $500 for the engine only warranty (Tranny covered to 100k due to recall). The F&I guy was an arrogant asshole, and I didn't buy the warranty because he, of course, was going to sell it at full msrp. I told him I could buy it several hundred dollars cheaper online; all I had to do was put in my VIN and pay for it. I also changed my mind on financing and wrote him a check after they already came off $2500 from the asking price. I have lots of family in the car business....they learned quick not to F** with me and be rude. He basically lost all his back-end as a result. The internet manager was "ok" so he got his cut of the deal. I went in nice and excited to buy a TL, but they quickly had the "I'm above you attitude" so I changed my demeanor as well. I know how the car business works and I know they make living like anyone else, but when they come to me with that front I let em' have it. Sorry, had to vent again about my experience...but yeah offer them as low as you can and if they don't come off, make them throw in a brand new set of mats or something.
