I stumbled upon this forum while searching for a tl to replace my integra, I noticed how much knowledge most people have here and thought you guys could give me a hand with some info.

Im from Canada, and currently found 2 tl-s near the border (us side) which im interested in one of which has the Navigation, but after reading threads about the dvd map updates on the original alpine navigation I noticed that all updates are exclusively for the States. Thats where I'm not sure if Canadian maps would be included and if so to which extent, is there a disc I can purchase from the Canadian dealer that would update the maps for Canada or any hack for the unit where maps can be personalized to your needs.

I believe the Canadian maps can be purchased through your local dealer. Best make a call to one to confirm.

Our 05 RL has Canada on it too though, so maybe it's one map.

 

I've called Alpine before and they said the DVD of that era will not include Canada. I've even called Canadian dealer and they said nav systems are not available in Canada for that model year so the answer is still a no.
