2000 TL intermittant rough idle - stalling
I've seen the info on the 99 EGR and even referrences to the differences in cleaning 99 & 00 models but I have not been able to locate anything specific on the EGR issue for '00 cars. Is there a cleaning procedure / known issue with '00 EGR's? Any other ideas? I can keep it running by pedaling it and it clears after 30 seconds or so.

The 00+ suffer the same clogging as the 99s do. They just have a different intake design.

There could be a few things causing it like a dirty/sticking IAC valve (located on the bottom of the Throttle Body). When was teh last time the plugs were changed?

Thanks, I just bought it. It has 128K so I'm open to all ideas for a car with this mileage. I don't have much other history other than I know a dealer did timing belt at 120K and it has the tranny oil jet. I will change the plugs and check the IAC (what it this acronym idle-?-control). The rough idle/stalling just started to appear. All I've done the three tranny fluid drain/fills and changed the torque engine mount (by the pwr steering pump). I really like this car and as a reasonably decent back-yarder I'm game for what ever needs to be done.....
