My bearings went at 38K. The dealer said it was due to hitting a pothole too hard. That combined with the suspension mods put too much stress on them busting them. I don't truly know how vaild this is but I guess it is possible. Have you hit any potholes/bumps hard lately?

My passenger side rear bearing is going- will be replaced at 49+K under warranty. The rep at Acura told me there is a nationwide shortage of the bearings- I was told the pothole story putting the bearing out of round, causing premature wear. I was also told they are sealed and are supposed to be good for > 300K miles. My car is almost out of it's warranty, so I hope none of the other wheels have this problem, otherwise they go for ~$250 / wheel to have a mechanic do it.

One question for acuralover: Did the dealer give you a hard time because your car had > 50K on the odometer?

I think the damn ride is too harsh or springs are too stiff, that will increase the pressure on the hub bearings. Many years back, I lowered my Accord. Short after, both left and right bearings were humming during turns.
